St. Regis Bora Bora Resort is Heaven on Earth!
I knew as soon as we had hit Bora Bora; that stunning lagoon is impossible to miss! I looked out my window on the 60-seater plane and watched the water change from Persian blue to brandeis to cyan and fade into a celeste blue so sheer I could see straight to the bottom through a small window from 15,000 ft. Shortly thereafter, I was pulling up to the St. Regis Bora Bora resort on a luxury boat. The iconic Mt Otemanu towered on one side, and a butler stood on the other offering a cold towel and refreshing beverage. Ahh… heaven’s gates.

Looking for an experience of your own? Here is what you can expect:
After entering this sanctuary, you will be whisked away by a golf cart to your overwater castle—I mean bungalow. The St. Regis boasts the largest standard rooms in Bora Bora, so you will find ample space to sprawl out and get cozy. Always with a view to that stunning, clear turquoise water below! The best part about a tree luxury rentals is that you can jump off your deck and straight into the lagoon for a swim. Pro tip: Ask for a floaty so you can relax in the water afterward.

Be sure to take advantage of the morning tea and coffee delivery to your overwater bungalow. Not only is it included in the cost, but really, who needs to make their own morning beverage on vacation??
Did I mention the amazing butler service? The St. Regis can cater to those with the most discerning taste. Whether you desire dinner reservations, a golf cart pick-up for sunset cocktails on the patio of The Lagoon by Jean-Georges restaurant (strongly recommended), or to adjust your planned excursions, you will have someone available round-the-clock to cater to your every whim.
And since we are on my favorite topic of food… the resort has 5 restaurants and bars onsite. The Lagoon is a wonderful experience with a fantastic wine selection and a formal feast featuring local fish, foie gras, and Angus beef—all of which you can enjoy while watching baby black-tip sharks swim beneath you through the glass windows in the floor. My personal favorite was Bam Boo restaurant, featuring both Chinese and Japanese dishes. I particularly loved the style of their patio furniture. I definitely recommend the sashimi starter.
Dining at St. Regis Bora Bora ranges from casual to formal
A few last words: Make sure to enjoy the pool bar, the beach, and the activities (snorkeling, kayaking, and large water tricycles, just to name a few). You can use any of the bicycles that are sprinkled around the resort to get to your bungalow, head to dinner, or visit the lagoon for a swim. We had a couples’ massage at the Miri Miri spa, which I highly recommend. And the jet ski tour is an adventurous way to explore all of the motus (small sand islands) in Bora Bora. If not here. then plan the places to see around Manassas; it is a fun trip too.
Caution: Once you experience the magic, it will be difficult to get on that plane home. But surely, you should experience your own slice of heaven!
Kayaks, jet skis, and an underwater tricycle, available whenever you want to explore the lagoon!
